About Qwing
Qwing is a vector drawing app. Everything you draw is stored as geometry and style rather than as pixels, so shapes stay sharp at any size and can be restyled at any time — long after you drew them.
What you can do
- Draw with eight shape tools (rectangle, rounded rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, triangle, star, polygon), a freehand pencil, a click-to-place pen, and a text tool.
- Style with eight fill modes including multi-stop linear, radial, conical and diamond gradients; strokes with dashes, caps, joins and arrowheads; drop and inner shadows; and blur, mosaic and magnifier effects.
- Compose by grouping, framing, masking, and combining shapes with boolean operations. Align and distribute objects relative to each other.
- Reuse shapes from the bundled stencil libraries, and save your own styles as favourites.
- Export to PNG, JPEG, PDF or SVG at up to 4× scale, or print.
Documents
A Qwing document is a .zdraw file — a package that holds the canvas, its
layers, and the images you have placed. It opens in Qwing, shows a preview
in Finder with Quick Look (press Space), and appears as a thumbnail in
Finder icon and column views.
Qwing saves changes in place as you work, so there is no separate "save your work" step to remember. See Getting Started for the save commands that do exist.
Requirements
Qwing runs on macOS 13 or later.
What Qwing does not do
Qwing is a vector editor. It has no pixel-level painting tools, and the eraser deletes whole objects rather than erasing pixels. Diagram connectors (object-to-object arrows that re-route themselves) are not part of this release.
