How do I start a floor plan?
Drag a straight or curved wall from the shapes panel in the sidebar onto the canvas and connect walls to form a room. You can also drop in a room shape and resize it. Then drag doors and windows onto walls and add furniture from the stencil list. See the User Guide for details.

How do I measure length, angle and area?
Use the measure tool: two points measure length, three points measure an angle, and closing a shape point by point calculates a polygon's area. Measurements help you check the space between rooms and furniture.

Which formats can I export?
FloorPlan can export PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG and VSDX, and you can print directly. PDF and image formats are usually the easiest to share; choose SVG or VSDX when you want to keep editing vector content elsewhere.

Where are my drawings saved?
Drawings are saved as document files wherever you choose, and core drawing work happens on your Mac. If you save into iCloud Drive or another synced folder, also keep an eye on that service's sync and backup status. See the Privacy Policy for more.

My purchase isn't working, or I have a new Mac
Purchases are handled by the Mac App Store. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase and use the app's Restore Purchases feature. If the problem continues, send the details to the support email above.
