Pocket Pair (“the app”) is an iOS client that connects to a companion process (sidecar) on your Mac and runs coding tasks in a local folder. This policy describes how information is handled. The app does not provide a developer-operated cloud account and does not upload your chats or project files to servers we control.

1. What we do not collect

We do not operate a login, analytics, or sync backend. We do not collect your name or email unless you write to us, we do not collect advertising identifiers, and we do not ship a third-party analytics SDK.

2. How data moves on your equipment

The usual path is iPhone ↔ the sidecar on your Mac (HTTP on your LAN or Tailscale). The sidecar drives a Cursor Agent in a folder on that Mac. Prompts, folder context, and task output stay between your devices. We cannot see them.

How Cursor / Anysphere process that work is governed by their terms and privacy policy. Pocket Pair is an independent third-party app, not affiliated with Anysphere or Cursor.

3. Data stored only on your iPhone

• Pairing code, sidecar host, and port in the system Keychain, so you can reconnect.
• Preferences and recent folder paths in UserDefaults on device.
• In-app purchase entitlement through Apple StoreKit, tied to your Apple ID. The app never reads your card number.

Disconnecting clears saved pairing credentials on the phone. Uninstalling removes on-device app data (Apple’s purchase record remains and can be restored).

4. Permissions

• Local Network — to reach your Mac sidecar. Local HTTP is allowed via NSAllowsLocalNetworking. Do not expose the sidecar to the public internet.
• Camera — optional, to scan the pairing QR printed in Terminal. You can type IP, port, and code instead. Images are not sent to us.
• Microphone and Speech Recognition — optional dictation. Recognition is performed by Apple Speech Recognition. Audio may be sent to Apple depending on your system and region, not to us.
• Notifications — optional “task finished” alerts, delivered locally.
• Live Activities and background refresh — lock-screen status and occasional refresh while the sidecar is reachable.

5. In-app purchases

Pocket Pair Pro is a non-consumable, one-time unlock for unlimited active chats on this device. Payment is processed by Apple. Refunds, invoices, and Family Sharing follow Apple’s rules.

6. Third parties

• Apple — system services, In-App Purchase, optional speech recognition, and iCloud backup if you enable it.
• Cursor / sidecar on your Mac — task content is handled by software you installed. We do not operate that service.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

7. Children

The app is intended for people who run developer tools on their own Mac. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

8. International transfers and retention

We do not transfer app personal data to servers we operate (we do not run such servers). Apple or Cursor may process data under their own policies, in locations that depend on your system and account.

9. Your choices

You can revoke camera, microphone, speech, notification, and local network access in iOS Settings; disconnect to clear pairing credentials; or uninstall the app. If you email us, we use that address only to respond and we delete extra copies when the request is done.
